How can I install updates if the computer Feed Writer runs on has no internet connection?

Usually the computer where you have installed the program should have an internet connection so updates can be downloaded by choosing "Check for updates..." from the "?" menu.

Sometimes this is not possible (e.g. for security reasons). In this case, please click "? | Check for updates..." on the offline computer anyway, it will open a browser window which will state that the site cannot be viewed (as a result of the missing internet connection).

Please copy the URL from the address bar of the browser window and save it into a word or text file. Now you can transfer this file via USB stick, floppy disk or network to a computer which is connected to the internet and open the URL which you have saved in the file.

After you have run the update procedure and downloaded the update file, you can copy it via USB stick, CD-ROM or network to the offline computer and run it there.
